After forfeiting a game last week to Western Tech for disciplinary reasons, the St. Vincent Pallotti football team bounced back on Friday night with an impressive running game and used it to defeat visiting Friends, 28-0, at Fairland Regional Park.  The game was the MIAA C Conference opener for both teams.

It was an impressive evening for Panther backs Tyler Drew and A.J. Bright as they each scored a pair of touchdowns and combined for 284 yards rushing.

Bright carried the ball 14 times for 128 yards and opened the scoring with a 22 yard first quarter run.  Drew also scored in the opening quarter, on a one-yard plunge, and he finished with 156 yards on 15 carries.

The Panthers led 14-0 at the half and went up by 21 when Drew raced 63 yards for a third quarter TD.  The final Pallotti touchdown came on a 25 yard run by Bright in the fourth quarter.

For good measure, Allen Hall added 68 yards to the Pallotti rushing total, with six carries.

Pallotti is now 2-3 overall, while the Quakers fell to 0-3.
