Roland Park Country had been impressive in opening its IAAM A Conference basketball schedule with wins over St. Frances and Severn, but Monday night the Reds fell behind quickly to visiting St. Vincent Pallotti and never recovered in a 49-32 league loss to the Panthers.
Pallotti gained most of its ground in the first and third quarters as it outscored RPCS by a combined margin of 25-10 in those periods. Tiffany Padgett led the Pallotti offense with 20 points and Mariah Hankton added 11. Pallotti (3-2, 2-1) also received eight points from Carly Conley.
Roland Park Country (4-2, 2-1) was paced by Daisy Alaeze’s 15 points.
