Dundalk tops Woodlawn behind Johnson

Oaklyn Johnson drove in four runs and junior Britney Thompson went 3-for-4 with a RBI as Dundalk High defeated Woodlawn, 22-4, in a Baltimore County softball contest Thursday afternoon.

After falling to Lansdowne in extra innings Monday, the Owls (6-2 overall) scored five runs in the opening inning Thursday and finished with 12 hits. Lilyian Hafner and sophomore Rachel Cox each scored four runs.

Johnson picked up the win on the mound, allowing an earned run and struck out four over three innings. The freshman also had two hits and scored four runs.

Dundalk gets a second shot at Lansdowne, Tuesday afternoon at Lansdowne.
