In a game that featured numerous lead changes, a young Dundalk boys basketball team was able to prevail in overtime, 67-66, for its first victory of the season, on Wednesday at Chesapeake-BC.

Dundalk emerged from a 9-9 first quarter tie to take a 27-21 lead at the half, but poor foul shooting by the Owls (23-of-51, 31%) kept the Bayhawks in the contest.  Chespeake surged in the third quarter to take a one point lead before the teams completed regulation locked in a 58-58 tie.

Isiah Jewel had a double-double, with 17 points and 15 rebounds, to lead the Owls, while teammate Leslie Demontagnac scored a game-high 21 points.  Deontre’ Phillips also had a big night for the Owls, as he scored 17 points and added five rebounds.

Dundalk is now 1-3 on the year while Chesapeake fell to 0-3.
