With a string of regular season wins, the No. 8 Owings Mills Eagles earned the right to host the 1A-2A North Regional Duals, and continued their season domination with wins over Edmonson and Eastern Tech for the tournament crown.
Blanking Edmonson, 82-0, the Eagles went 14-0 with 11 falls, two forfeits and one major decision, and quickly turned their talents to the win over the Mavericks, 62-6.
Recording four straight wins to open the match, the Eagles took a quick, 17-0, lead over the Mavs, and dropped just one fall to Beam at 135 before winning out the remaining bouts.
The Eagles added four more falls in the final eight-bout streak, including pins by Seip (152), Johnson (160), Solomon (215) and Carroll (285).
Owings Mills heads into this Saturday’s State Duals o take on South winner Glenelg, East winner Rising Sun and tournament favorite West winner Winters Mill at Liganore High School.
