Old Mill High’s football team continued its push for another postseason appearance, routing Glen Burnie, 82-0, in an Anne Arundel County football contest Friday evening. Deion Briggs scored three touchdown for the defending Class 4A state champs (6-1 overall, 6-1 Anne Arundel) who came in Friday’s play holding third place in the East Region standings ahead of Broadneck.

The top four teams in each region qualify for the state tournament. Five players found the end zone for the Patriots, whose output is the most by an area team this season.

Terrance Brownlee scored a pair of defensive touchdowns and Avery Taylor returned a fumble for a score. Robert Chesson had a rushing touchdown and a punt return for another score and senior running back Demond Brown scored twice. Conner McKinney and Mark Lee each added rushing touchdowns.

Old Mill travels to Meade Friday evening before closing the season at home against Severna Park and No. 4 Broadneck. Glen Burnie (0-7, 0-7 Anne Arundel) continues its search for win No. 1 next week, hosting Severna Park.
