Rob Chesson rushed for 127 yards, and senior Demon Brown rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns, leading No. 5 Old Mill to a 34-8 decision over Meade in an Anne Arundel County contest Friday evening.
Leading 14-2 at halftime, the defending Class 4A champ Patriots (7-1, 7-1 Anne Arundel) pulled away in the second half as Chesson returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter, and Brown broke free from 29 yards out. Cheeson added a five-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Cavanaugh Jones’ 66-yard touchdown run in the third quarter was the only score for Meade (4-4, 4-4 Anne Arundel). Old Mill hosts Severna Park next weekend, followed by No. 4 Broadneck to close the regular season.
