Jaylin Sharp (pictured left) posted his second double-double in as many days with 24 points and 12 rebounds, guiding Northwestern to a 65-49 victory over IBE in a Baltimore City league Division II contest Friday.
Sharp, a 6-foot-7 senior center, has posted a double-double in all 16 games this winter. He’s averaging 21 points, 12.5 rebounds and four blocked shots for Northwestern. He had a season-high 42 points and captured 12 rebounds in an overtime loss to Owings Mills during the season.
Senior Breon Powell added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats, who improved to 9-7 overall and 6-1 in Division II play. The Wildcats have Southside Academy Thursday and Masonville Academy at home Friday.
