Owls thump Kenwood to close the regular season at 9-1; Brown rushes for 211 yards

Coming off of last week’s big win over previously unbeaten Milford Mill Academy, No. 11 Dundalk showed no letdown Friday, rolling through visiting Kenwood, 42-7, to close the regular season at 9-1 and gain a piece of the Baltimore County Division I title.

Ronnie Brown had a career rushing day for the Owls, scoring on TD runs of 8, 1, 5 and a career-long 91-yards. In total, he rans 20 times for 211 yards. It was his second straight game over the 200-yard mark. He has also rushed for more than 100 yards six times, including five straight.

Brown finishes the regular season with 1,356 yards rushing and 15 rushing touchdowns.

Quarterback Treshawn Ray also had a huge day for the Owls, rushing for 136, while passing for 73 yards and two scores, both to Marcus Moore (28 and 35-yards). Ray passed for 1,076 yards during the regular season to go with 728 rushing yards and 23 all purpose TD’s.

The Owls will share the county crown with Franklin and Milford Mill Academy as all three finished 6-1 in league play. Franklin defeated Dundalk, which knocked off Milford Mill, 28-7, last weekend.

Friday’s victory over Kenwood secures the No. 2 seed in the Class 3A North Region for the Owls, and a home game next Friday against Edgewood or Franklin.

The state playoffs pairings will be released Sunday.
