Arundel, which handled Anne Arundel County rival and defending Class 4A champ Old Mill last weekend, climbed four spots to No. 5. River Hill advanced a spot to sixth.
Dunbar held at No. 12 while Broadneck moved up from 16 to 15. Calvert Hall also advanced to 17th with Old Mill falling 14 places to 19th.
A pair of locals also entered the state Top 25 this week. Loyola Blakefield, which went toe-to-toe with No. 2 DeMatha Catholic before falling, 45-31, Saturday at the I-95 Kickoff Classic, came in at 23rd. Poly, off a 40-point shelling of host Largo in Prince George’s County, placed 25th.
Mount St. Joseph, North Harford, Archbishop Spalding, Eastern Tech, Boys’ Latin and McDonogh School were in the other receiving votes category.
