No. 9 Glenelg got off to a fast start against Howard County rival Reservoir on Friday night and ran away with a 62-38 win.

Mary Kittleman and Emily Russo both scored 13 points for the host Gladiators.  Danielle Burris contributed 12 points and Alyssa Parked added 10 more.

Emily Smoot netted a game-high 17 points and Rakia Bryant had 10 for the Gators.

Glenelg moves to 2-0 overall and in league play, while Reservoir drops to 1-2, 0-1 respectively.

As a team, the Gladiators shot 16-for-18 from the foul line and jumped out to a 20-5 lead after the first quarter.
