After 21 battles, the No. 9 South Carroll Cavaliers rest their 2011-2012 season record at 16-5, adding their most recent win Wednesday in a 69-12 toppling of the Frederick Cadets.
In the lopsided win, the Cavs notched 12 wins in 14 weightclasses, giving Frederick a forfeit win at 132 and dropping just one fall to 113-pound Kusmider.
In the 12 wins, however, South Carroll recorded nine falls, including six straight in a nine-bout streak to end the dual-meet.
Willingham (132 pounds) started the pinning run, followed by Slatniske, Stavish, Pooton, Reiter and Schmitz at 145, 152, 160, 170 and 182, respectively, watching two forfeits before ending the nght with Scales’s fall at 285.
The Cavs started the night with a fall at 106, courtesy of Stipcak, and worked a Myers decision at 120 with a Connelly pin at 126 for the team’s 69-point total.
Both teams now move on to the postseason.
