The Glenelg girls basketball team delivered a knockout punch in the first half to knock off visiting Centennial, 58-41 on Wednesday.
The No. 8 ranked Gladiators jumped out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and was ahead 36-11 at the half.
Emily Russo once again led the way for Glenelg, scoring a game-high 25 points. Danielle Burris and Liz Ebeling added nine and eight points respectively.
The Eagles were paced by 10 points from Kayla Kelly. Sarah Lord had nine and Sam Miller added eight for the Ellicott City school.
Glenelg improves to 4-0 overall and in Howard County league play, while Centennial dropped to 2-2 in both standings.
