When: Friday, 7

Outlook:  Arundel is looking to make it back to the state semifinals after going in 2007 and 2008 but missing out last season.  Broadneck is ready to avenge a close regular season loss to the Wildcats.

The Bruins upset Old Mill last week, 16-14. The Patriots routed Broadneck, 31-7, in the last game of the regular season and the Bruins got their revenge.  Quarterback James Mullis ran for 69 yards on the ground but it was his arm that lifted Broadneck. Trailing 14-3 in the third quarter, Mullis tossed two touchdown passes to Darnell Solomon, including the game winner late in the fourth.

Quarterback Nick Rosati returned to the Wildcats’ lineup in a 28-17 win over North Point after missing the final two weeks of the regular season.  Rosati hooked up with wide receiver Tyler Washington (nine catches, 187 yards) for three touchdown passes.  Joe Blackwell added a score on the ground.

Arundel edged Broadneck, 10-6, in the teams’ regular season meeting on Sept. 16.  Wildcats returner Gary Cropper took the opening kickoff back 80-yards for a score. That turned out to be the only touchdown of the game. Cornerback Jon Haskett intercepted a pass in the end zone inside of two minutes to seal the game.
