Sophomore Caitlyn Kirby went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI and Kayla Schmidt and Robinson drove in two apiece, leading No. 5 Glen Burnie to an 11-0 victory over No. 17 Arundel in an Anne Arundel County contest Wednesday. Robinson, Schmidt, Shelby Smith and Stephanie Yaw each had two hits for the Gophers (3-0 overall and Anne Arundel).
Melanie Slowinski pitched a one-hitter and struck out four. Sophomore Maja Henson had the only hit for Arundel (1-2, 1-2 Anne Arundel).
The Gophers head to Southern Friday for a league contest while Arundel hosts No. 1 Chesapeake-Anne Arundel.
