Outlook: South River is looking to move to 4-0 in Anne Arundel County. The Seahawks and Arundel are the last two unbeaten teams heading into the fourth week of the season.
Last week, South River pounded Southern 28-7 (game story). Quarterback Shane Lee continued his hot start to the season, throwing two touchdowns and going 11- of-16 passing for 156 yards. Running back Blane Kleinrichert ran for 199 yards and added two touchdowns in the win.
The Seahawks have outscored their opponents this season 118-14 including a shutout of Glen Burnie in Week 1.
No. 5 Broadneck dropped a close game to No. 2 Arundel at home last week, 10-6 (game story). Fullback Ron Van Meter rushed for 88 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown in the loss. Senior quarterback James Mullins threw three interceptions, the last in the end zone with under two minutes to play. The Bruins are looking to rebound with a strong game against the Seahawks.
Last season, Broadneck beat South River 27-14 on its way to an 8-2 conference record. The Seahawks finished 4-6.
