When: Friday, 6:30

Outlook: Old Mill and Broadneck are both assured a playoff spot in the Class 4A East Region but these rivals would love nothing more than to knock the other off before the postseason begins.  The winner will secure a second place finish in Anne Arundel County.

The Patriots are currently riding an eight-game winning streak, averaging 46.5 points per victory. RB Demond Brown ran for 193 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s 33-15 win over Severna Park.  RB Rob Chesson is also a threat.

Last season, the Bruins snapped Old Mill’s eight-game streak and hope to do the same tonight.  Broadneck’s defense is one of best in the Baltimore area, led by LB Va’a Niumatalolo.  The Bruins have allowed a league-low 44 points this year, an average of just-under five points per contest.

Despite winning the Class 4A state crown a year ago, Old Mill fell to Broadneck, 44-38 in the regular season finale.  Ron VanMeter ran for 192 yards on 30 carries in that game for the Bruins.  Patriots RB Josh Furman (Michigan) ran for 241 yards.
