Bogdan drives in two runs and earns his second win on the mound


The Fallston baseball team, which entered the VSN Top 20 for the first time this week (at No. 20), improved to 4-0 on Monday with a 4-1 win over Harford County rival Bel Air.
On the road, the Cougars fell behind in the bottom of the third as the host Bobcats broke a scoreless tie with single run when Josh Stocum singled in courtesy runner Gabe Scott.
Fallston got on the board in the top of the 5th when Jesse Schuster, who led things off with a triple to right center, scored on a double to deep left by Andrew Noyes. Connor Pickle then put the Cougars ahead with a sac fly and Josh Bogdan added a third run with a two-out single.
Fallston added another insurance run in the top of the 7th when Bogdan doubled in Joe Gizinski. Bogdan, who has committed to play his college ball for California University of Pennsylvania, also had a solid day on the mound for Fallston. He started an went 5.2 innings allowing just a single run and striking out eight to earn his second win of the year. Kyle Moody recorded the final four outs to earn his first save of the year.
