Bel Air boys soccer earn playoff date with Towson


No. 20 Bel Air opened its 2021 post-season on Wednesday at home with a 5-0 3A North Region II win over Aberdeen, as five different Bobcats rippled the nets for head coach Dominic Rose.
Dameon Walker, Kevin Tridone, Drew Schmidt, JT Moran and Connor Banton drove in the goals for Bel Air, while Matt Weidman added two assists. The defense was also stout in front of goalkeeper Ethan Crosby, who made two saves to earn the shutout.
The win advances Bel Air (9-6) into Friday’s semifinal round where they will visit No. 10 Towson (11-1), at 3:45 p.m. The other semifinal in the North Region II bracket, features another UCBAC vs. Baltimore County matchup, as No. 13 C. Milton Wright hosts Kenwood at 4:00 p.m.
