Engineers pick up another quality victory; Lewis and Lindsay combine for 38

Junior forward Justin Lewis posted 23 points, and freshman Bryce Lindsay hit five 3-pointers as No. 2 Poly High defeated St. Maria Goretti, 68-61, in a non-league boys basketball contest in Baltimore City Friday.

The Engineers (4-2 overall) pulled away from the Hagerstown school in the final  frame, extending their win streak to four. Brandon Murray, in his first game, finished with 13 points and Rahim Ali had 10.

RJ Blakney had 17 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals for St. Maria Goretti (8-3), which is expected to contend for the Baltimore Catholic League championship. Penn State University recruit Abdou Tsimbila finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, and Rahsaan Edwards added 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
