Cougars gain a share of second place in UCBAC Chesapeake Division; No. 12 C. Milton Wright also wins

Fallston came into its final field hockey match of the regular season, at rival Bel Air on Monday, one game back of the Bobcats in the battle for second place in the UCBAC Chesapeake Division. Thanks to pair of goals by Savannah Henderson, the Cougars captured a 2-1 overtime victory and share of second-place in the league.

The 17th-ranked Cougars and the host Bobcats were even at the end of regulation as Bel Air’s Paige Felck matched Henderson’s goal. In overtime, Henderson netted her second unassisted tally to deliver the victory.

Bel Air goalkeeper Mackenzie Leeson made five stops, while Fallston Payton Knoll had two stops.

Also in the UCBAC, C. Milton Wright, which had already clinched the league title, went out of conference to claim a 1-0 win over Westminster.
