Bruins move to 3-0 despite a strong challenge from the Knights

After scoring 17 goals in two easy wins at its own Broadneck Invitation this past weekend, the 15th-ranked Broadneck boys soccer team got a much stiffer challenge in its Anne Arundel County opener, Thursday night as the Bruins came away with a 3-2 victory over visiting North County.

Mikey Johnson staked Broadneck to a 1-0 halftime lead, while Riley Erbe and Caden Terrelonge scored in the second half to secure the victory for the Bruins. Anders Nelson also contributed a pair of assists for Broadneck (3-0).

Blake Hoskins scored a pair of second half goals for North County, which was playing its season-opener, and Bradley Mills kept the Knights close with 7 saves. Broadneck keeper Matt Tettermer made five stops.
