The No. 13 Severna Park volleyball team won an Anne Arundel County match over No. 6 Arundel, 25-23, 25-27, 30-28, 25-20 on Monday, October 18.
It was an important match for two reasons, the County standings and it was the Dig Pink match for these teams.
Dig Pink is a National Breast Cancer awareness rally that is taking place throughout the month of October. High schools and colleges are hosting Dig Pink matches all across the country to help educate and raise funds to help fight breast cancer.

Senior outside hitter Carli Converse once again led the way for the Falcons with 21 kills, 16 digs and she went 22-of-24 serving with three acces.
Katie Liccione also had 16 digs while Erin Bell added seven kills and nine digs. Sophomore Kimberly Bel l was the table setter for Severna Park with 37 assists. She also contributed eight kills, nine digs and two aces in the win.
Rachel Welsh, Megan Poskaitis and Nicole Convissar combined for 19 kills.
Severna Park improved to 10-4 overall and 7-1 in the league. South River and Broadneck are also 7-1 in the standings, tied for first place.
