Perry Hall’s girls soccer team, ranked No. 10 in the latest Varsity Sports Network Top 20 poll, defeated Eastern Tech, 3-1, in a Baltimore County Division II conference game
The host Gators improved to 9-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in league play, while the Mavericks dropped to 7-4-1 and 4-4-1.
Perry Hall recognized Erin Taylor, a 2002 graduate and four-year soccer player, who is in a fight with breast cancer. Taylor was honored by the school and asked to be an honorary captain prior to the start of the game.
The Gators did not disappoint as Sarah Spivey scored two goals and Preslie Quaranta (13 goals this season) added the other to top Eastern Tech. Alexa Quaranta had an assist.
Perry Hall will close out the regular season on Friday at Towson before heading into the playoffs.
