Junior guard Danielle Edwards scored 15 points and Dajah Logan added 13 as No. 1 McDonogh School defeated Massachusetts’ Archbishop Williams, 63-47, at the Rose Classic Super Jam girls’ basketball event at Nazareth High in Brooklyn Sunday.

Senior guard Maya Wynn finished with 11 points for the Eagles (17-1 overall), who built a 35-23 advantage against the reigning Division III Massachusetts state champions. Jameira Johnson was dominant on defense for the Owings Mills squad, posting 11 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Alana Gilmer had 14 points for Archbishop Williams (5-7), ranked 13th in the Boston metro area by the Boston Herald. Jenna Clark (11) and Jess Rega (10) reached double figures.

McDonogh plays New York’s Long Island Lutheran Monday afternoon.
