Brittany Stein pitched a five-hitter and No. 9 C. Milton Wright High took an advantage of a second inning error to post a 1-0 decision over Elkton in an UCBAC Chesapeake Division match Wednesday afternoon.
Jess Lucas got the second inning going for the Bel Air school with a ground-rule double. Alicia McMahon put down a sac bunt but a throwing error by Elkton on the play allowed Lucas to score the game’s first run.
Stein eluded danger in the second with runners on second and third with a strikeout. The Mustangs (4-2 overall, 4-1 Chesapeake) got a two-out double by Amanda Ator who was stranded.
The Mustangs head to North Harford for an UCBAC Chesapeake contest Friday afternoon.
