Jenna Mugele, who will be a junior on the Davidson College women’s lacrosse team next spring, has been named a team captain by Davidson head coach Kim Wayne.

Mugele, one of three captains selected in a vote of their teammates, played her high school lacrosse at St. Paul’s School for Girls where she was a two-year varsity letter winner.  During the 2010 season Mugele scored a career high 15 goals and had a streak of 10 consecutive games with at least one goal.

In addition to being a captain, one of the highlights of the coming season for Mugele will occur on April 16 when Davidson will face High Point University.  High Point is fielding its inaugural women’s lacrosse team and its roster will include another former SPSG lacrosse player – Mugele’s younger sister Kelsy, who completed her high school career last spring.
