Gaels rout St. James by 33 in Hagerstown


Mount St. Joseph basketball took a road trip to Hagerstown, Friday evening, for its second game of the 2019-2020 season and the Gaels came away with an impressive 87-54 win over St. James to improve to 2-0.

Coach Pat Clatchey’s Gaels got a team high 17 points and 10 rebounds from junior Deangelo Stines and 16 points from senior forward Jason Edokpayi. Junior Sean Carr and sophomore Antonio Hamlin also reach double figures with 15 and 14 points, respectively, while Tyler Breslford and Cam Sapienza combined for 19 points.

St. Joe will look to move to 3-0 on Tuesday when it returns to action with a home game against Bishop Ireton (VA) in advance of Saturday’s showdown with DeMatha in the BCL/WCAC Challenge at Loyola University.
