Five different players scored a girl for the Mount de Sales field hockey team on Tuesday in a 5-0 victory over the Institute of Notre Dame.
The Sailors improved to 7-2-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the IAAM B Conference standings. The Indians fell to 3-9-0 and 0-7-0 respectively.
Abbie Tucker finished a pass from Ashley Lesniewski to score Mount de Sales’ only goal of the first half.
In the second half, the Sailors exploded for four goals, one each by Julianna Shearer, Courtney Geier, Leah DiGiandomenico and Caroline Butler.
Tucker, Amanda Ignacio and Caroline O’Ferrall each had an assist while keeper Victoria Gottleib made eight saves.
