Senior hitter Hannah Schmidt had 20 kills and four aces and Caroline Casey added eight kills and two block kills as No. 3 Mount de Sales Academy remained perfect in IAAM A Conference play with a sweep of Chapelgate Christian Academy, 25-10, 25-21 and 25-12, Wednesday in Marriottsville.
Chelsea Owensby had 31 assists and four digs for the Sailors (7-1 overall, 4-0 IAAM A) and Megan Sedney finished with eight digs. Mount de Sales hosts No. 7 Seton Keough Saturday afternoon in Catonsville.
It’ll be the second meeting of the season between last season’s league finals’ participants. The Sailors swept Seton Keough Sept. 18, spoiling the Gators’ homecoming. Saturday’s match counts in the league standings.
