Our Lady of Mount Carmel senior baseball player Ian Arciaga signed a National Letter of Intent today to continue his academic and baseball career at Coppin State University, on Wednesday.
A three year starter for the Cougars baseball team, Arciaga is coming off his best season in which he batted .486 with 30 RBI, earning All-MIAA status.
A corner infielder and pitcher, Arciaga expects to compete at third base for the Eagles while providing depth in the bullpen.
Mount Carmel manager Mike Naunton said, “I am excited for Ian, and proud of his accomplishments, he has a tremendous work ethic and it is nice to see that rewarded.”
Arciaga who plans to major in Criminal Justice said, “I immediately felt comfortable with Coach Reed, and felt like it was a good fit for me, I look forward to helping him build the Coppin baseball program.”
