1. Former Mount St. Joseph basketball star Darryl Morsell, coming off a decorated four year career at the University of Maryland, has announced that he will take advantage of the fifth year of eligibility granted by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 shutdowns in 2020 by transferring to Marquette University for the 2021-22 season.

Morsell scored more than 1,000 points as a Terp and was named the The Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year last year. Not considered an NBA prospect at this point, Morsell entered the transfer portal to explore his options. He chose Marquette over returning to Maryland or pursuing a professional career in Europe .
