In a contest that featured some big swings in the first half, Milford Mill surged in front of C.H. Flowers in the fourth quarter and held on for a 56-52 victory in the Bracket I championship game, Wednesday in Salisbury.
Jeremiah Simmons scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Millers and was named the bracket’s Most Outstanding Player.
Milford Mill jumped in front 18-7 at the end of the first quarter, but Flowers battled back to within one, at 29-28, at the half.
The Millers also got 13 points and nine rebounds from Ugo Obasi and outscored Flowers 26-18 in the paint.
Demarcus Demonia led Flowers with 14 points.
