Forward Marquez Fernandez, who played in four MIAA A Conference soccer championship games and won two league titles with McDonogh, was named a Parade Soccer All-American, as the weekly news magazine released its 2010 team this week.
Fernandez, who will begin his college career at the University of Maryland this fall, was also named an All-American this year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and ESPN Rise Magazine.
In addition, Fernandez (5-8, 160) is member of U.S. National Team U17 Player Pool. He scored a goal for the U17 squad in a game against Ghana and is a two-time national champion with the Baltimore Bays club program.
