McDonogh softball pitcher Wendy Folfas earned her seventh win of the season after tossing eight innings, allowing a single run on three hits and striking out six to lead her team to a 2-1 extra innings decision over Annapolis Area Christian.

AACS pitcher Hailey Keppel also went the distance. She three eight innings while scattering 11 hits and three strikeouts. With runners on base in all but two innings, Keppel pitched out of a jam and left 10 McDonogh players stranded.

Catherine Abbot was the clutch player for McDonogh on Wednesday.  Abbot had two hits in the game and both drove in Courtney Vaughn for runs.  Lexi Goldstein contributed three hits and Folfas added two hits including a double.

Christina Siwicki went 1 for 3 and drove in AACS’ lone run, scoring Hall in the top of the fifth.
