Eagles trail throughout the first half but outscore Aquinas 6-0 over the final two quarters
In South Florida Thursday afternoon, the McDonogh boys’ lacrosse team started slow against host St. Thomas Aquinas (FL), but scored six unanswered goals in the second half to pull out an 8-4 victory.
Jack Sweeney had two goals and an assist in the second half surge and finished with two goals and an assist to lead the way.
Griffin Catlett also scored twice in the second half, while Jackson Cummings had two goals and an assist for the Eagles. Also, Ian Powderly had a goal and two assists and Dane Swanson netted one goal.
