McDonogh’s girls basketball team picked up a second consecutive impressive win at the Hilton Head Holiday Classic in South Carolina, on Sunday, romping through Whitwell (TN), 53-22, to reach Monday’s tournament championship game.
Candice Hendricks and Taryn Durant led the Eagles (5-2) with 14 and nine points, respectively, while Taylor Cummings had eight steals and Marin Kobb pulled down nine rebounds. Every player on the McDonogh roster scored in the contest.
McDonogh (5-2) will battle West Ashley (SC) in the championship game.
