Junior forward Taylor Cummings sparked No. 6 McDonogh with 18 points to lead her team past visiting No. 10 Roland Park Country, 64-47 on Friday night.
The Eagles (10-4 overall, 2-2 IAAM A) were led by Cummings’ 13 first-half points and led 30-23 at halftime.
Tiersa Winder added 16 for the game for McDonogh, which was coming off back-to-back losses to St. Frances and No. 1 Archbishop Spalding respectively.
Senior captain Candice Hendricks had 14 points while freshman forward Briana Jacobs pulled down 11 rebounds.
Beth Kelly paced the Reds (8-5, 3-3) with 24 points. Roland Park had 14 total field goals in the game and eight of them were from downtown.
