For a second consecutive year, McDonogh School has traveled to Hilton head, SC and captured a tournament title at the Hilton Resort Holiday Basketball Classic.
The Lady Eagles completed their three game sweep on Monday evening with a 42-33 victory over West Ashley from Charleston, SC.
Taryn Durant was named tournament MVP after leading McDonogh (6-2) in the title game with 10 points, seven steals and four assists.
Stretching their win streak to six straight games, the Eagles also received a team-high 14 points from Candice Hendricks, who also added eight rebounds, and eight steals from Taylor Cummings.
