Glenelg senior forward Rachel McCarriher has doomed another undefeated opponent. Last week, her header in double overtime handed then unbeaten River Hill its first loss of the season. (Click here for story on that game)
On Tuesday afternoon, she did it again. This time, her lone score guided the Gladiators past Howard County’s last unbeaten team Marriotts Ridge. Albeit in less dramatic fashion, scoring just minutes into the game.
The No. 10 Mustangs were coming off of an upset of their own this weekend when they knocked off No. 9 Fallston, 4-0 to claim it’s own tournament.
Glenelg moved to 3-2-2 overall and 2-1-2 in Howard County while Marriotts Ridge dropped to 6-1-1 and 4-1-0 respectively.
