Top-seeded Bryn Mawr rolled out to a fast start in its IAAM B Conference soccer opener, Tuesday, blanking visiting Seton Keough, 5-0. The Mawrtians advanced to Thursday’s semifinals where they will face fourth-seeded Friends.
Danielle Hogarth and Morgan Rubin each scored twice for Bryn Mawr, while Riley Barger added a goal and an assist. Hogarth also had an assist, as did Katie Del Guercio.
Elsewhere in the B tournament, Friends routed Garrison Forest, 4-1; Severn defeated St. Paul’s School for Girls, 3-1; and Roland Park Country edged St. John’s Catholic Prep, 2-1, in overtime.
In it’s victory, Severn broke a 1-1 halftime tie to move on in the playoff bracket. Beth Willertz, Rache Nock and Katie Carroll all scored for the Admirals. Nock also had an assist, along with Della Repasky and Abbey Ritter.
Katrina Stavrakis scored the lone goal for St. Paul’s.
RPCS will host Severn on Thursday in the other semifinal.
