Kevin McBride had 15 points, six rebounds and four steals as No. 17 Ben Franklin/Masonville Academy defeated Reginald Lewis, 54-34, Thursday, clinching a spot in the Baltimore City League Division II championship game. 

The Bayhawks (18-3 overall, 10-1 Division II) will play Mervo for the title Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at Morgan State University’s Hill Field House. The Division I finals will have defending champ Dunbar against either City, Edmondson or Poly at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Ben Franklin defeated Baltimore Freedom Academy in a non-division match. Jai Reeves had 12 points for the Bayhawks, and senior Kevin Thompsoon finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Breyon Graves had 14 points and eight rebounds and senior point guard Byron Hawkes added 10 points and five rebounds in a 55-43 victory over Southwestern.

The south Baltimore school, in its fourth varsity season, will make its first city title game appearance. Ben Franklin defeated Mervo in overtime during the regular season.
