Junior midfielder Taylor Hensh had five goals and three assists and Zoe Stukenberg added four goals and two assists as No. 6 Marriotts Ridge High defeated 15th ranked Glenelg, 19-6, in a Howard County girls’ lacrosse contest Tuesday in Marriottsville.
Senior midfielder Maggie Brooks finished with three goals and an assist for the Mustangs (12-0 overall, 10-0 Howard), who clinched at least a tie for the league title. They can secured the title outright with a victory over Wilde Lake Friday or a loss by Mount Hebron in its final two games (plays Atholton Wednesday and Centennial Friday).
Jenna Kerr, Marissa Davey and junior Alexis Zadjura each scored twice for Marriotts Ridge, which has won 32 straight in regular season play. Junior midfielder Stephanie Asher led Glenelg (9-4, 7-3 Howard) with three goals.
Marriotts Ridge travels to No. 1 McDonogh School for a non-league match Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m.
