Glenelg Country School has announced senior Hannah Mansbach (pictured left) will run cross country at the University of Maryland.
“I chose Maryland for multiple reasons,” said Mansbach. “I really liked the attitudes of the coaches–they are very hands-on compared to other programs, and I really feel like I will be able to continue to grow as a successful athlete under their direction.” said Mansbach.
Mansbach will be under the direction of coaches Andrew Valmon and Matthew Jelley at Maryland.
A three-year letterwinner, Mansbach was an IAAM C Conference All-Star selection each year. She medaled in the 2010 Georgetown Prep Classic Unseeded race, won the 2011 Georgetown Prep Classic Unseeded race, and placed third in the 2012 Georgetown Prep Classic Seeded (Elite) race.
In 2012, she placed second at Johns Hopkins’ Spiked Shoe Invitational and qualified for both indoor and outdoor Nationals in 2012 and the 2012 Penn Relays.
