Loyola Blakefield opened its 2010-11 swimming season with a victory in the Jesuit Tri-Meet, Saturday at Georgetown Prep, as the Dons won eight events.
The Dons totaled 627 points. Gonzaga was a distance second with 441 points, while Georgetown Prep totaled 320.
Oliver Bennett led the way with two individual victories, takeing the 100 fly and the 100 back. Freshman Ian Silverman had a tremendous debut, taking the 500 free and placing second in the 200 free.
