On its visit to Bel Air, Monday, Loyola peppered host John Carroll with 26 shots, but it was not until the second half when those shots finally found the net, as the Dons scored three times after intermission to claim an important 3-0 MIAA A Conference soccer victory.

John Carroll (2-9, 2-8) entered the game with a chance to pull even with Loyola (5-7, 4-6) in the battle for the sixth and final spot in the A Conference playoffs, but instead the Dons opened up a six point advantage, putting the Patriots’ post-season chances on life support

Loyola’s goals came from senior Ian Peacock, junior Jamie Dubyoski and sophomore Jeremy DeGraffenreidt.  Elliott Andelman and Mike Distler also added assists.

John carroll was limited to just two shots in the contest as the Loyola defense, led by sophomore Tony Butta, did an excellent job of protecting goalkeeper Charlie Walker, who need just one save to earn the shutout.
