Girls win by 21 to stay unbeaten; Gibson powers the Raiders’ boys


In the 2nd annual Battle of the Beltway, at Goucher College, the Loch Raven’s boys and girls basketball teams swept Towson in a double-header, Friday night.

In the opener, Mykala Kemp led the girls to 58-37 victory as the Raiders remained undefeated and improved to 6-0. Kemp scored 25 points in the win.

In the nightcap, Charles Gibson scored 19 points, to go with eight rebounds, six assists and two steals to lead Loch Raven to a 58-52 victory over the Generals.

Fans from both Loch Raven and Towson filled the bleachers at Goucher College, Friday night, for the second annual Battle of the Beltway showdown between the two Baltimore County schools.
