After three rounds in the Loch Raven Duals, the Boys’ Latin Lakers, Century Knights and North Point are the only three undefeated teams remaining in the eight-team tournament.
Each going a perfect 2-0 on Friday afternoon, the Lakers took over the Loch Raven Raiders, 48-24, and the Marriotts Ridge Mustangs 50-20, while the Knights downed the Baltimore Lutheran Saints, 84-8, and the Dulaney Lions, 53-19.
North Point, the two-time defending champs of 2008-2009 and 2009-2010, nearly swept Lutheran, 76-3, and took care of host Loch Raven, 59-18, in its two-win day.
Pikesville, Dulaney and Marriotts Ridge all finished the day with one win each.
Given the first day of competition, the fifth, eighth and tenth rounds will see some of the tournament’s top action, as the Boys’ Latin takes on Century and North Point, and the defending champs close-out the tournament in the final round against Century.
Wrestling resumes Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in the gym at Loch Raven high School.
