Scoring opportunities were at a premium on Saturday morning when Towson visited Loch Raven in Baltimore County boys soccer. The host Raiders, however, managed to capitalize on their best chance and came away with a 1-0 victory.
In the game’s 60th minute, Joe Bae converted an excellent feed from Jordan Sachs with a perfect strike, from 10 yards, to deliver the only score of the contest.
It was the second straight 1-0 loss for the General who have struggled for goals thus far in 2010.
The victory puts Loch Raven in the win column for the first time this year. The Raiders had opened with three consecutive setbacks, all to ranked opponents, including No. 1 McDonogh and No. 2 Perry Hall.
Towson slipped to 2-3.
