Several area high school football squads made advancement in the next to last statewide media poll for the regular season Tuesday. Arundel remained No. 2 in the poll along with Gilman School at No. 3.
Calvert Hall College moved in the top 5 at No. 5, with Broadneck up from 12th to 11th. The Bruins take on defending state 4A champ Old Mill Friday evening in Millersville.
The Patriots are up a spot to 13th, and unbeaten North Harford jumped from 22nd last week to No. 21. River Hill dropped from 23rd to No. 24.
South Carroll, Hereford and Hammond received votes.
